Sociology
(A-Level)
The study of sociology will enable you to develop your understanding of society in a disciplined way. The course covers issues that shape how our society functions, is governed and how this affects both individuals and groups of people. You will learn about the relationship of family to social structure and change, the role and function of education alongside class and the economy, together with topics on beliefs, crime and religion.
An interesting and engaging course, future pathways and careers include law, social and public services, prison and rehabilitation work, and roles within the criminal justice system.
